Medium roast with a dab of fat-free half and half and a bit of splenda. Made in my Cuisinart grind & brew (burr grinder version). Pretty darn good. Usually go with a kona blend or something of the sort.

My fav is Trader Joe's French Roast.
    Ground fresh every morning.
    Black, 2 sugars.

Usually with 2 sugars for most coffee.

But when I've got good options at a Coffee store, something dark, rich, robust & smooth.
Honey & vanilla added with gusto.

    Never cream or milk.

"A Mormon told me that they don't drink coffee. I said, 'A cup of coffee every day gives you wonderful benefits.' He said, 'Like what?' I said, 'Well, it keeps you from being Mormon ...'"
    - Emo Philips, again

Coffee is my second favorite vegetable, after bacon.

I hear you about the acidity. I love my coffee but the acid in coffee can really wreak havoc on my stomach. I did a bit of reading on this and started cold brewing my coffee. It takes a little bit longer but just allowing an ample amount of coffee brew in cold water with a french press does the trick. I highly recommend. I found that there are a lot of subtle flavors that can't really be appreciated when you brew with hot water. Of course you can take the cream, but my body cannot tolerate dairy so this does the trick for me.

I stopped drinking my coffee with cream a few months ago and haven't had any problems, actually :)

I'm not nearly as fancy as the folks here. I use a regular drip style coffee maker and take it black -- no cream, no sugar. I do like to get nice beans, and am working my way through a bag of Kenyan right now.

One of my coworkers is Serbian and has been known to complain from time to time about our American style coffee. Apparently all they drink in Europe is espresso.

I take half of Martian's coffee and mix it half instant hot chocolate.

Black; sometimes I'll put a bit of Jameson in it.

As dark as I can get it with a splash of half and half and 2 sugars.

I hate to work or wait for my coffee. I've had a Keurig brewer for a while now and their Barista brand French Roast k-cups make what I consider a perfect cup of dark, strong coffee with a little head of foam.

Not a fan of flavored coffees.

They always smell like a good idea, but when you put your lips on it, you know you've made a mistake.

It reminds me of my nights up in da club.

They always smell so much better than they taste. Rarely, I will add a flavored creamer but usually I prefer it black... and I am speaking of the coffee not the clubbing experience.

You know I have to say that I missed American coffee when I was in Europe... goes both ways.

I like a fairly strong and acidic coffee (have Ethiopian Kenyan blend on hand) but not burnt/bitter like Starbucks. I use real heavy cream generously. Half and half will do in a pinch.
I would drink it black over using ersatz "creamer" or milk.
On the road I'll drink Mickey D's or Burger King, partly for the drivethrough convenience, and I don't think it's all that bad. Better than Starbucks.
Like others, I reject the flavored coffees, especially cinnamon, which upsets my stomach. Chocolate or caramel is OK though.

I'm getting really fond of Safeway's Kona blend.... it's good, it's not terribly expensive.... house brands have come a long way.

DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

I need recommendations for a GOOD grinder. My BRAUN (top loader) is about 15 years old and I think the burr is worn out, the coffee comes out too fine, too much powder.
As far as creamers, I used to like the French vanilla, but I made the mistake of reading the ingredient list.....too many chemicals, so now I use plain milk...
When I first started working I was drinking coffee with 2 sugars and cream (long time ago) someone suggested that I try the coffe without sugar for a few weeks till I got used to the taste...so now for about 50+ years I no longer use sugar!!!
For coffee I like Dunkin Doughnuts coffee, especially from the shops, ( I fresh grind beans) but it doesn't seem to taste the same in my Cuisinart electric.
Starbucks coffee is too "burnt" tasting, I will sometimes do a McD drive thru (at .95 cents for seniors, this is a bargain) but their coffee is just OK.
I guess my next coffee will come from Fresh Market, they just opened here in Ft lauderdale....

I'm enjoying a café Cubano right now. (Unfortunately I used white sugar. I should pick up some demerara sugar this weekend.)

I'm on one of my regrettable coffee binges right now, and I find that espresso drinks don't make me restless or give me mood swings like French press or drip coffee does. I'm not sure if it's the lower caffeine content or not, but it's simply the case.

I decided to pull out my espresso maker and stick to espresso beverages. I may get back into steaming milk for lattes if I can find my thermometer. I also want to try making green tea lattes. These are all $4 or $5 drinks elsewhere. I can make them at home for a fraction of the price. Why the fuck not, right?
