How to be a gracious winner.
That just because someone is different from you, doesn't mean they should be made fun of or put down.

Then there is the barbarian way...

They need to learn what is best in life...
"To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."

How to change a flat tire. On a car or a bicycle or a tractor or anything else.
    How to balance your checkbook.
And how to use a needle and thread.

To take responsibility for your actions even when the end results are going to really suck.
How to get to places on time.
How to care about the work you are doing, no matter what it is( I saw a commercial when I was a kid put out by the Ad Council that had all these people, garbage haulers, mechanics, etc. autographing their work and it asked "Shouldn't everyone want to sign their work?"

That your word should mean something.

How to live within your means.

Work ethics. Heck, ethics in general.

How to handle ideologues and authoritarians. They're going to spend a majority of their lives until they hit their 30s-40s "managing upwards" from a position of absolutely no power or authority. Best they learn that skill before they need it to put food on the table.

Man, our kids are going to be in classes a lot with all this... ;)
And they think the learning stops and you know everything when your an adult...NOT.
18, welcome...you've just got your adult license...the experience & training starts now...it ends when you die.

And actually, I think adults should get these too, if they've skipped it or need a refresher.
Shit, I'm 46 and I'm still learning...my mom is 66, she says the same thing.

    -----------------

Another thing...Martial Arts, how to defend yourself.
Even if you never get into a fight...the increase in confidence, awareness of your environment (for safety & tactical), how to avoid situations...
AND how to disable and escape if caught in one...is invaluable.

I used to teach the kids & women; preferred it. ...and if done right, the growth in their personal comfort is significant.
(and men should get it too, but that's different, you tend to teach them restraint more...how to avoid a fight, not strike first and such)
Same rules & principles, different emphasis for each attitude and levels of aggression.

Much less how to use your body. (and its good exercise)
Muscle memory, using your mind to analyze a physical dynamic.
