Not to mention that it's kind of our fault that Burmese pythons are in the Everglades. That place is a buffet for Burmese pythons.

Burmese pythons are actually quite nice and make great pets if you know what you are getting into. Many people aren't aware of the space requirements of a Burmese python. It more or less needs its own bedroom. I love handling pythons. They are pretty mellow.

    Strange,

You should consider reading The World Without Us, specifically the chapters dedicated to animals. This book totally blew my mind.

    Seriously. What the fuck?

Your description is quite nice, but more like it was taken out of some crappy novel. A hunting/hungry wolf certainly will not quiver in the presence of a human, no matter how superbly the human fixates the wolf with the sternest look.

If they're poison, use a 9mm. You won't hit anything, but it's fun firing off the hand gun. If you can't fire handguns locally, have at them with your four iron, which has the added bonus of stress release.

I would recommend maybe getting the bottom half of an old style suit of armour so the snakes cannot poison you, and then a long sharp metal post.

The imagery of a car passing a property's front yard and the driver seeing this random dude with a spear and wearing the lower half of a knight armor... is fucking hilarious.

Usually, killing 'em does the trick.... if firearms are permitted where you live, use snakeshot.

We had a snake killing cat, growing up. Tom cat, unfixed. He hated snakes, in return they hated him right back. The snakes all wound up dead and mangled, and the cat would come up to the house swollen up from snake bites. We'd take care of him pretty close for about a week and he'd get better and go out and do it all again.

That cat kept snakes, rats, and dogs out of our neighborhood for a few years, until he died by the road one day. George was the best cat I've ever had.

Mice and other vermin are way more dangerous than most snakes. Snakes help control them. Poisonous snakes are rare where I live. Unless they are where my grandkids play, I just leave them alone.

Hell, I even catch and release spiders in the house.

I have no problem with spiders. I find them to be cowards and hypocrites, but I dont kill them or even catch them unless one is in the bath when I want to have a shower.

Any snake which is alive though should be removed from life as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Cats and dogs can also control rodents and pose no real threat to humans, unlike MANY snakes.

How can a spider be a hypocrite?

Did it eat your English muffin and didn't give you any of it when you pointed out it was your muffin?

This is outright murder, and I cannot condone it. I think it's important to first observe the rights of snakes, especially in their God-given natural habitat.
