In my defense, I've known people who've literally said such things. Silly pics aside.

Depends on my partner. Last boyfriend was probably about six to ten times a week, the one before that was closer to fifteen times a week, and the on before that around two or three times a week.

Current single status+total disinterest+multiple jobs = 0 times in the last several months.

My wife is, unfortunately, in that small percentage of women who can't really get off. She says that despite everything we've tried over the years, she simply doesn't feel that much down there. As such, she's more or less lost interest. It's the only part of our relationship that sucks, as otherwise we're very happy. I've encouraged her (as has her gynecologist) to see a sexual therapist about possible solutions, but her work schedule hasn't let that happen so far (and, frankly, it's not high on her priority list).

 

im not sure my SO would go for a sex therapist. but i havent asked. never really thought about it

 

My wife and I do it 2-3 times a week. She would be happy with 2 times a month. We are in our 40's and have been married 20+ years.
She could not understand why I needed it so much. I explained that men have a different more physical need to release the build up. She prefers that I do not masturbate. She is self conscious and me looking at 20 year old porn stars does not help that. Sometimes in the middle of the week she may just give me a handjob just to take care of business. She just is not horny enough to initiate sex. Once we get going she is fine, she just needed more motivation to get things going.
Also, recently she has had friends get divorced. That seemed to reinforce the need to take care of me in her mind. I am not complaining.
Try explaining more of that a mans need is more biological. My wife was more understanding once she understood that.

 

wow... i wish my previous SO would've understood that. in the rare times we had a few hours alone together she just flat out refused to do anything of the sort sexually. needless to say it didn't last long, but i don't know how to explain to women my age that it more or less a need that needs to be fulfilled every now and then.

 

This year the average has dropped quite a bit, we are down to about 4-5 times a week. We were higher than that even when my wife was pregnant, but situations have changed. I'm back to school now and living in family housing, which means no doors to close between us and the kids. Its been relegated to late nights unfortunately.

 

2-3 times a week, I'd say. Depends on the week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Rare for us not to get to do it at all during a week, unless one of us is sick, or out of town.

I actually track this (based on Willravel's thread "Men, you need to read (and memorize) this..." from 2006 or 7) and I have data for each cycle from November 07 forward. For the entire period tracked, the average stands at 3.87 times per week. Over the course of a year, its been as low as 3.23 times per week (2009) and as High as 4 times per week (2010). The most frequent for a single cycle was 6.33 per week over 21 days. Least frequent was 1.87 per week over 30 days.
