I think those would be a good idea. His idea (and I agreed that it would work too and is probably safer) is that getting more sleep can increase his testosterone naturally. I read a blog where a guy successfully reversed his low T in 90 days by weight lifting, sleeping 8-9 hours a night and healthy foods.

Unfortunately I don't think my partner is that motivated to change anything, especially in the sleep department, if it means he has to change his work schedule at all. He's a creature of habit and has never put importance on sex.

 

It's important but not the only thing, my partner says he wouldn't care if we had sex or not but strangely enough he initiates a good 80 percent of it. With my spinal injury getting worse with my age that is one thing that worries me as I get on a bit that I won't be able to have sex .

 

Maybe 4 or 5 days a week

 

I don't recall the last time I had sex, but I'm sure it was back in 2013 and that year was awesome, because I had sex TWICE that year!

Oh, well. I guess there must be some incredible sense of power for one's spouse to deny affection for them. It must be intoxicating, but it's probably my fault for leaving my copy of George Orwell's "1984" out where my wife could find it.

So sorry, that's a bit worse off than it is here. 3 or 4 times a year is rockin it for us. I am finding this is an issue that is more common than people thing, although the solution is often illusive

 

Hmm it's been over a year and a half, close to two years for me now. Bring on the divorce and let's get this party started!!

It is a very strange feeling to have switched sides in this particular discussion.

Just over a year ago, I was feeling tremendous unhappiness and resentment over the lack of sexual intimacy in my life. I was struggling to come to terms with the likelihood that I would never again have sexual intercourse. And at some level, I thought it was all my fault.

Not for nothing does Google have over half a million hits on "sexless marriage". And no wonder every surviving big-box bookstore has a whole shelf of titles about how to get your spouse to start having sex with you. (Those books were useless to me, and very depressing.)

To re-read what I wrote back then, both here and elsewhere, brings back the depth of my bad feelings, and the stark contrast between that time and today.

A climate of sexual abundance has challenges for a man my age (almost sixty), but I sure am not going back.

honeymoon period with current girlfriend: 10+ a week

NOW (14 mo. later):
once every 6 weeks or so... i'm not even attracted any more, i thought it was impossible for such a horndog as me.
