Horrible violence in schools.......football player breaks up brutal attack

Discussion in 'General Discussions' started by Borla, Dec 23, 2011.

  1. I know nightclub bouncers used to hessitate when it was women fighting as they said they are more vicious than men and they knew there was a higher risk of being clawed at or hit in the head with a stilletto heel sort of thing.

NB, my agreement is not specifically with the 'America' bit - I've not been there - but with the principle. I'm in England and I can see that physical 'dynamic' as I walk down the street. Too many justifications for cowardice/disconnectedness from our fellow beings. Begins to 'sweat out' in how people look and sound.

I'm going to be Mr. Party Pooper here and ask for bets on how long before the student has his life ruined for violating the school's Zero Tolerance policy and touching a teacher. Of course my inner cynic and optimist are arguing over who takes credit for the idea that maybe for once he won't be thrown facefirst down the school to prison pipeline because of the media attention.

It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when people step in to help in these sorts of crimes.

My first thought was "She's only LIKELY to lose her job?!?" Just wtf does a teach have to do to be unconditionally fired.

    So much for zero tolerance.

As for the assault vs. murder thing. A few years ago the local paper ran a story that didn't even make the front page. A young woman stabbed her live in boyfriend with a kitchen knife and when the dude ran outside bleeding she got in his Blazer and ran him down with it. He lived and she only got charged with aggravated assault.

My money is on prosecutors playing it safe - much harder to get a conviction for attempted murder than a pile of lesser charges which are indisputable.
