I don't know Uncle Phil well, only briefly as I haven't been on this forum for long. But the amount of affection and support for him and his family has touched me, so much that when I woke this morning I logged on to TFP just to check for updates.
I wish someone could be healed by love, then Uncle Phil would be cured immediately.

 

i turned 58 this year... connie will turn 64... my mom died a month ago and now my best friend is dire straits... this is not about me... this is about who we are... this is about my rethinking my own mortality... this is about remembering you don't know what you have till you lose it... this is about taking your own life for granted let alone those you love and respect...

should you see someone you admire and one whose shared with you their life, give them a hug, for that is what our lives are all about, hard as they may be or as simple as a thank you, know that they are a part of you and cherish that

 

Much peace and comfort to uncle phil and his loved ones on and off the boards, as well as those of us who 'only' knew him through various stages of the TFP. For one guy he's made one hell of a big impact. He has not nor will he be forgotten. Safe journeys, uncle phil.

hank: any chance he could get laptop / internet access? I'd love to think he was able to see that even though ye olde TFP might be a bit toned back from the height of activity, a bunch of old timers and newcomers have been touched by his presence. Plus, there's always fly's ass...
