I must admit, I'm not up on Japanese culture. Is this considered a useful skill? Do people get hired to do this?

I'm going against the forum rules here, but I can't keep this to myself regarding the babies drinking images.
I knew a guy who as a baby was pacified with beer by his mom & more than a few "stepdads." By age 17 he could drink a case of beer over about four hours without getting drunk (well, not nearly as drunk as most people would be), and was proud of it. He seemed to keep time by how much beer he started with, had went through, and needed until he could buy more. He was intelligent, but slow, you could almost hear the gears turning while his brain processed information. We lost touch years ago. In a way I'm glad that I didn't see what happened to him. He never felt that he had a drinking problem, and I don't think anyone or anything would ever convince him differently.
