I hate making hollandaise and I suck at it. It's one of the random things I just can't cook. It always breaks and comes out tasting like shit. It's right up there with Rice on the list of "simple things I can't cook".

    *****

Putting my vote in horseradish and honey mustard.

CinnamonGirl and I found this hot sauce that is made locally in NC. I've only seen it in this one town I lived it. It was pretty damn good. You can order it online, but I've never gotten around to ordering it. Zing Sauce was the name of it.

I'm a huge fan of French sauces, especially hollandaise. Maybe it's my French side. I can't resist. My mouth is watering at the thought.

I'm also a big fan of Alfredo and rosé sauce.

Generally, cream sauces. Yeah, it must be my French side. I've always meant to try more French cuisine in general. Unforch, my SO isn't too keen on a lot of it.

I'm also a fan of Thai and Indian sauces. Anything with butter/coconut and hot spices. Yummy.

As for dressing. I like the simplicity of a good quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I also like Japanese-style sesame dressing.

    Oh, and tzatziki!

Okay, I like sauces. So sue me.

After you read some MFK Fisher, you'll want to cook even more French food.

    I like the following sauces:

    - Avocado/Ranch dressing
    - Blue cheese sauce (only with Chicken Wings)
    - Rot-Weiss (Mayonnaise and Ketchup mixed together)
    - Curry Ketchup (never seen it sold in retail stores outside of Germany)
    - Peanut Satay sauce
    - Hummous (I consider it a sauce. Ya habibi!)
    - Tonkatsu (only in conjunction with Japanese meat dishes)
    - Japanese mayonnaise (only with Sushi)
    - Creamy mushroom sauce (a must for steaks!)

You're behind the times, woman! Look at this, Germany's second most popular fast food!
