fathers day

Called my Dad who was doing he favorite thing, napping. @Zen got a wonderful message from my daughter for being an awesome stepfather.
We also took a 8 1/2 mile walk around Twickenham and Richmond along the river Thames.

 

My daughter planned a day for me.

• Breakfast in bed (it involved pancakes and a jar of bacon).
• A trip to the Art and Science Museum for a cool exhibit on Big Data
• On the way to lunch we stopped for a coffee and a hot chocolate to kill some time (where I took the picture below).
• Lunch at a cool restaurant (joined by my wife).
• Off to the local arthouse cinema for an afternoon screening (and a gift of future movies).
• On the way home, they dropped me off for a massage.
• Skype with the boy later in the evening.

All in all, a good day

 

Is everyone deceased, literally?
Are some estranged?
Either way that's a tough situation to be in.
