That and also with pants where the pants leg is inside the boot. That reminds me of then I was a kid rollerblading and when we took a break, we'd take the liner out of the roller blades and use those as a sort of half ass shoe to run around in.

I forgot about this one. When the pocket is longer than the leg of the shorts.. no, just no

Rectangular frames are one thing... Now tiny rectangular frames, that pissed me off. I wore a set of child's glasses until I was in college because nobody was making glasses with decently sized lenses. I like to be able to see more than a 1 foot tall strip of the world in focus at a given moment without cramming the lenses right under my eyelids.

Also with men's fashion I can't wait for those godawful elf shoes to go out of style, and the tacky pick stitching on suits.

Fat people (where it's clear that their only exercise is walking to the fridge) wearing sweats & other workout gear in public, in particular when the clothes are too small. Let me be clear--I'm overweight, but I know what not to wear.

The ruffle skirts that fly up when a woman walks. Around the "hood" where we live, really large asses (what I derisively refer to as a "50 pound ass") on women are highly desireable. "It's all about the ass!" holds true. Even if it means the woman is quite a bit overweight. The major downside is the seriously overweight women who dress OTT sexy.

I saw a girl wearing glasses which had black horned rimmed lenses on them that were easily half as big as her face. They were huge. Obviously huge. I haven't seen something like that since about 1980. is this coming back in? Back then girls would get fake lenses just to wear them. Kinda Elvis Costello-ish.

Yes, it is coming back in.

I've been wearing acetate frames since 1999. You will pry them from my cold, dead hands. I tried some metal frames for about a year once, but discovered I hate nosepads. I will never, ever, ever go back. However, I can't do the large frame as the thickness of my left lens is such that I would end up with one pop-bottle looking lens.

My nose is narrow near my eyes, my face is oily an hour after I clean it, and I like my glasses up high & close to my face; nose pads are must for me. My current glasses are a cross between the rectangular lenses (more rounded) and the heavy "dork" frames (visible, but not thick).

I wear metal since I'm a clod and have no business with frames that I can't fix with pliers and a screwdriver. My glasses hit something 2-3 times a day, occasionally with my face still attached.

yeah I see some of them in that link. Funny back then, when Costello hit the scene, they looked kinda hot. Especially since in university we were a kinda edgy, punky, new wave group of folks that liked the look of the glasses and the tight jeans (my mom called them stove-pipes jeans like in her day - now people call them skinny jeans) but now it looks a little bit re-tread/dorky.

especially since the jeans now droop a lot more in the ass area.

This is one I actually predicted a few years ago. Now that everyone has a cell phone, there is NO point to wearing a watch as anything but a status symbol, hence the current "if you are a man wearing a watch, be sure it weighs at least three pounds".

I think I forgot about those to protect my own sanity, they're even worse down here in Florida. I've seen 2+ inch diameter watches with spinning rims down here. A watch should be substantial enough that you don't wonder where the rest of it went when you hold it, but there's a limit to good taste.

  11. This. It runs rampant on a college campus.

The really tight pants that those girls wear without panties....they're gonna get a yeast infection.

The sam's club near me sells dresses that look almost exactly like that.

I don't know why it irks me so, but it does. Women's fashion irks me.

One of my XBILs who is still friend (I like him much better than my SIL) moved to France, and started wearing the half-sleeve short sleeved shirts (I have no idea what they're called) in pastel colors.

A friend had a friend (male) from work who wore those shirts with cuffed blue jean shorts.
