Oh yeah. I remember the Montgomery county journal (does that paper still exist) saying back in 2003 or so there were 900 reported deer strikes in the county.

If you mean Montgomery County in Maryland, there were 2,019 car-deer accidents in 2012.

It's gone up, then. I left in 2007.

I think it's safe to say that populations of every kind have gone up in MoCo since 2007.

Oh yeah. Do you know the neighborhood Kingsview village? I had a townhouse facing 118. That neighborhood of around 1000 homes was supposed to be built out in ten years. They were done in three. Spark matsanuga elementary was brand new. Within several years they had either 11 or 17 portables outside of it. 1100 kids in an elementary school.

    Yup, know it well.

I grew up in a very small town and was naively unaccustomed to suburban sprawl till I left New York. Based on what I'd known my whole life, I knew most areas of Montgomery County would never be on my short list of places to live following my planned relocation to the DC area for those very reasons. No offense, MoCo, but ew.

They named an elementary school in Maryland for a senator from Hawaii?
