Food Carb Control

    Nice. I probably would too if I ate more vegetables. I'm quite lazy, but I do realize the need to take time for meal preparation. Grains are easy to keep on hand and prepare, and they're pretty cheap too.

    I have an iron stomach, so I can't relate. Though I do know the effect of drastically changing my diet (to vegan), and how conscious eating can eliminate things you probably shouldn't be eating anyway. I got rid of practically all processed foods, which I think are an issue for everyone.

    I like Michael Pollan's approach: staying away from "food-like products."

    I'm due for another readjustment to my diet, which is why this thread interests me. I know I eat too many carbs vs. fat/protein, so I'm examining how my meals should be changing. I tend to shoot for a 40/30/30 ratio of carbs to fat and protein, which has worked well for me in the past. I was doing that when I was vegan too.
