Politics Biden - How’s he doing?

Well he has already started. EO allowing male athletes to compete in female sports. Totally disagree on this one.
I have nothing against trans...but a male becoming female will be still stronger than a female.

Immigration is just one big mess...hoping there will be a balance on that. I do believe the dreamers should have a pathway to citizenship.

    Well it's been 3 days I think. :D

    Why even go there???

Not enough pussy grabbing from the last guy?

I’d rather stay away from the tabloid rumor mill stuff

And focus on what’s really going on in government
And what his administration is doing for us.

OR where they are fucking up...

Because I’m a cynic...and I know no administration is perfect...BUT they can be as good as they can be.
That can be done, we saw it in Obama’s time.
    Not perfect but decent enough.

    Really, that’s all I ask
    No matter what friggin party

    Proof is in the pudding.

Hell, I’m not even going to judge until six months in.

Who knows, he may be a fuck up
But I’m not going to play games.

Well, not until then...then he’s fair game. :D
    Mocking is allowed for incompetence

I understand EO, but that's one that's kind of far fetched.

I saw where he wants to do away with the word "alien" in illegal alien.

One of those is his grand daughter and I have no problem with him giving her a smooch especially given her rather funny kiddo reaction.
He has admitted that he has invaded women's spaces and will do better, when he was called out on it.

I worked kitchens for 20 years.
If you haven't done that kind of work, maybe you've watched Chopped and seen where the chefs dash behind the others saying "Behind."
For years when we did that it often included patting the behind of the chef as we past if they were of the opposite sex.
Things have changed a lot since then, especially since more head chefs are women.

So Biden invaded women's space back when I was patting women on the ass.
I sure as fuck don't do it now, and neither does he.

    I so hate defending this guy.}
He never was my candidate and there are so many fucking things I dislike about him but I damn attacking the stupid stuff makes me nuts.
Go after his neoliberal policies, I go with that all day.

I was actually kinda responding to @Chris Noyb's question. Why I think Biden is creepy.

Anyway @rogue49 you put a smile on my face. I will wait six months maybe. :)

At least for the past few days, Biden and his team has been talking a good game, but I will wait and see how things work out in the real world.

Luckily, February and March should be quiet months in terms of big family gatherings or events that could spread a lot of the virus. But, we still don't really know where most people are getting sick at outside of their home and hospitals. (Yeah, there are some weddings, funerals, and church events, but I don't think that is the typical place. They need to talk more about preventing new cases by coming up with alternatives to tasks that have risks 8 Places You're Most Likely to Catch COVID Now, Says Doctor ) The issue might be in April, if the 50 million that are most at risk get vaccinated and the numbers go down enough, that the calls to open back up will be really loud.

There is a plan now, but it doesn't seem like they are addressing things that might help, like getting healthier, eating better food, vitamin D, quick treatments of infected patients (maybe I don't know about this happening), and other things that would help. Guidance to schools, churches, and sports is also missing.

    https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-conte...VID-19-Response-and-Pandemic-Preparedness.pdf

And while there might be 100 million people who are hesitant to get the vaccine, I wouldn't expect to be in the first 200 million that get the shot, even though I want to get it. But, I think outside of the healthcare and nursing home industry, they just need to wait to try and convince others that they need to get the shot. But at some point, you will see the states with high vaccination rates opening back up and the states with fewer vaccinations will see more cases if they get jealous of the others opening. Or pissed off even more about it.

Well, aren’t all the politicians creepy??? ;)
    Some more than others...

I’m hoping they increase testing significantly
    Kinda like South Korea did...
I think even the anti maskers and anti Vaxers may even do that if it was free, convenient and all over.

Me, I’m watching things that take an interest for myself that Congress doesn’t have much say once they’re in place.

    AG, Treasury, OMB, etc
Even the tech SMEs they’re putting in for Cybersecurity and battling hacking at DHS.
Or the new CTO or FCC
Or things that protect us from business abuse, the SEC or CFPB.

But as I said, we’ll see.
    Name doesn’t mean good action.

I think Biden will have more than enough to keep him occupied without Congress.
    Foreign policy, etc.

The virus will be a benefit, something big and useful to focus on...while his players get settled, engaged and start making plays

I have no doubt Biden will pursue and put into action at least some far left ideas that bother me. Transgender athletes having an unfair advantage bothers me.

All in all I don't see much for either side to get in twist over. I haven't read up on all of his appointees, but I haven't heard to much screaming from the right. Well, some except from the far right loudmouths (who would find fault with Joe even if he completely adopted the GOP platform).

Just some info on transgender athletes that might make you feel better on the subject.

    1. Here is a decent overview of what was actually signed: Fact Check: Does Biden's Executive Order Allow Transgender Athletes to Compete With Gender of Their Choosing?
    2. It requires that schools do not discriminate based on gender identity. It appears schools will just need to adopt a policy to ensure that. I believe that policy could be , for example, what the Olympics put in place for 2016, which requires trans woman athletes to:
    - declare their gender
    - not change that assertion for four years,
    - demonstrate a testosterone level of less than 10 nanomoles per liter for at least one year prior to competition and throughout the period of eligibility.
Some schools already use these guidelines. Others go about it differently.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/.../Transgender_people_in_sports...
    3. We’re only talking about a small number of students. According to CDC, only 2% of U.S. students identify as transgender.
    https://www.nbcnews.com/.../two-percent-high-school...
    4. The science on whether transgender women have an unfair advantage is inconclusive due to a lack of quantity, but from what there is, it seems testosterone would be a key player. Hence the Olympics’ rules.
    5. Transgender athletes are not winning women's sports in massive numbers. The few cases where they have are being made into national cases by conservative media.

One thing that had to be done in the face of Russia's hacking our systems was deal with cyber-security.
It looks like Biden is taking that seriously.
The people he is putting in charge seem to have the right credentials however they won't be the ones actually doing the work.
It is pretty clear that we need to get some folks in the trenches who can play as rough as the Russians.

After big hack of U.S. government, Biden enlists 'world class' cybersecurity team

    One thing about Biden
    He's going to move FAST.

With his background, he doesn't have to train or orient.
Not like T or Obama or GW or Clinton... Only Bush Sr or Nixon were trained of the modern prezs
He's done Senate for decades, was VP
Knows how it all works, knows the system, the subtle ways...strengths and weaknesses

It may seem he's kind and patient.
But this sucker has been thinking about this and how he'd do it for ages.

I think the GOP is going to be surprised.

Actually, he's the type I was warning about...IF he used his skills for bad.
But I doubt it. He'll just take advantage of their own lack of awareness...for the better of the citizens.
That's why the GOP agreed to limits on the office...because FDR kept winning.
They may agree to more prez limits and new amendments when they get a bit punch drunk.

Really, it just depends on how long he can keep up the momentum and energy.
Then they got Harris to deal with, she's relatively young and strong. (I don't see any GOP candidate that compares now)

Good luck to them...but they deserve a bit of comeuppance.
Maybe it would straighten them out.

Joe might be holding some CHITS, and definitely knows the location of some skeletons. And he seems to be on good terms with Obama, certainly a good source for advice (even if it's how not to handle certain things).

Just stay away from Hilary, let her continue to fade away. There's no point in bringing a hornet's nest into the White House.

Biden Team Rushes to Take Over Government, and Oust Trump Loyalists

Told ya he was going to move FAST.
And this is just the start...

They're going to find out so much BS and correct it.
The previous administration was clumsy and sloppy...left bread crumbs all over the place. Their arrogance and audacity was a weakness.
It's going to be like cleaning up old Chicago. (after the gangsters)

And the Dems will have even more to throw in the GOPs faces to unbalance them and smear their reps.

They didn't have to do it this way, could have been careful, considerate.
But no, they had to be fast and furious.

This is why good government wins over the corrupt bosses.

Let's hope it IS good and helpful to the citizens. (whether they believe in it or not)
