I don't want to prolong a sidetrack, especially after Martian's helpful Staff Message, but in the interests of clarity and honesty:

I suppose I should have been more precise. It is true that there is one halachic exception to brit milah: if a baby boy is physically unable to tolerate brit milah because of illness or a congenital condition (such as hemophilia) that would make circumcision life-threatening, brit milah can be delayed until recovery; or, if the condition is incurable (again, like hemophilia), it can even be ruled that it is forbidden to circumcise the child in order to save his life.

But such cases are rare, and I had presumed-- perhaps erroneously-- that we were discussing brit milah in general, normal circumstances. Except for a life-threatening condition, I stand by my statement that there is no halachic ground for refusing circumcision. If you want me to do so, I can PM you with citations and quotes from the halachic codes, from the Talmud, from the responsa of any number of major halachic decisors.
