All men should be able to do this

You mean you don't like things that are representative of real, human relationships?

You always have the choice to turn it off, which means that it isn't exactly being shoved down your throat. You aren't being forced to participate in any way.

The question I have is: If you are okay with seeing displays of affection between hetero couples, what really is the issue with homo couples?

While I understand that some people have an issue with two men kissing, I continue to fail to understand why they have an issue with two men kissing. I've kissed plenty of men, and, just as with kissing women, some are good at it, some aren't.

Jeez, now this has me thinking: I hope I'm one of the ones who is good at it.

I may have the choice to turn it off, but I am choosing to exercise a different choice. The choice of not patronizing the sponsors of the shows that bring that shit into my home. I am boycotting their products, as well as letting their executives know why I am not doing business with them. If enough people who are offended by OUR rights being trampled join in, then the networks will have no choice but to comply.

Your right to what? To be offended? I'm pretty sure that's about where it ends.

Man, I wish those darn heterosexuals would stop flaunting their agenda on television.

Yeah, that's how ridiculous it sounds.

When the gay couple down the street walks by holding hands, it's cute. If they were sticking their tongues down each other's throat, I'd be uncomfortable. I'd feel the same about a heterosexual couple.

You really don't have a right to not be offended. You can change the channel or use the back button on a browser; but that's about it.

You're probably on the wrong side for a boycott. Those "live and let live" fanatics have won.:p

Your rights are being upheld by the fact that they can and do show this stuff on TV. Freedom of speech, etc. You DO NOT have a right to expect not to be offended. Sorry. Boycott whomever you want. It will do absolutely no good, but go ahead. The world is moving on, and you can't stand it.

The norm used to be that the people who weren't offended didn't have a choice in the matter. Self-righteous morality monitors made that decision for us.

Like it or not, our society is changing in its attitude towards public displays of homosexual affection, and I for one welcome the change. It's about time.

But, as I mentioned in my initial reply above, I fail to understand why anyone is offended by the image of two men kissing. I've asked this question numerous times, and I've yet to receive a reply from anyone that makes what I believe to be rational sense.

Pretty sure nobody has the right to demand that other people not offend them. If you see two dudes kissing and it skeeves you, just stop looking. And then get over it.

Television always seems to be the last bastion of resistance against social equality.
