OK...I've got the translation

• An apple a day keeps the doctor away (modern catchphrase) : 7 days = 7 apples = 7
• The twelve grapes of luck (ancient superstition, wards away witches and evil): 7 apples = 7 + 5 = 12 = 12 grapes
• Eating Six bananas can kill you (recent urban myth): 7 apples - 1 = 6 bananas (use your algebra here folks...but I was told there wouldn't be any math)

But the open ended question is what does it mean for 7 apples + 12 grapes + 6 bananas?? (or 7+12+6 ...which is 25)
I don't know...I haven't found any distinct rumors, myths or innuendos connected to 25

Not very "sciencey" though.
Unless you count the research needed and the math to calculate.
