That latest picture of ring 's blew me away ... tiling, form, textures ... everything was magical.
I took the liberty of playing around with the light and texture in Photoshop and presented the result in private conversation.
It met with her approval and permission to post it if I wanted to.


I think the clincher had been, for me, that even before I could see the picture ... before I could register the colours, I was already 'feeling' it with my mind's hand. Its physical impact on me was unstoppable.

Now ... what is this?! My first impression is of humming bird caught in a ray of light .. magnificent BUT .... it's like Tim Burton took it into a different world ... a world not quite of life. Please say more. This is heavy duty.

Would this, by any chance, be one of those amazing candles? I'm sure I saw a candle like this som eyears ago ... it's beautiful - I could swear I can see a glow. The background on which it rests is busy, yet matches it ... and I think it's the difference in lighting that makes them fit so well together. Lovely picture.

the colors in the (unlit) candle i chose to work with in the painting-forever-in-progress.... ( the background)
and the scarf it is resting on was a pleasant accident. glad you like.

i enjoy working with the oftentimes limited/frustrating free photo editing options.

This is definitely one of my favorite type of abstract photography. Well done!
