I was listening to some of the analysts discussing the Raiders. The general consensus is their rebuilding is over, it's time for them to put up or shut up.

I think everyone should shut their traps...you do your best...and sometimes it works.
How long did it takes some teams to win???
And football has more parity than sports like baseball, harder to dominate and build.
For example, I remember when no one had heard of the Patriots (*back when the Raiders were the shit...and the "hated" team)

If they were right, then they should get down to the betting booths. Let them put up or shut.

They're doing well...that's all I care about. Hope it continues.
And I think others should feel the same for their long-time teams. Kind of like parents to their kids.

I just hope they don't move to Vegas...they belong in Oakland.
Let the "wandering" teams move here & there.

Settling for field goals can come back to bite you in the ass, like it very nearly did last night.

Last night's game turned out to be a good one. Fitz looked as though he actually deserves what he is being paid--How long will that last ?--other than a couple of strips and a couple of red zone FGs.

NOTE--When Fitz played for the Texans he had a P. Manning/T. Brady type game against the Titans, and was pulled midway in the 4th quarter. My comment was, "This is probably the first time in his career where he was pulled for playing well."

Why were the Bills taking their sweet time getting to the line, and not trying to get out of bounds, late in the game when they needed two TDs to win? Inexcusable, IMO. OTOH, on one play if they had snapped the ball quicker they would not have gotten the review that gave them the TD.

Rob Ryan. Does this guy actually know what he's doing, or is he living on the Ryan name and some early success? Was his brother Rex the only coach who would give Rob a job after he fell on his face with the Saints?

    Bills just fired their OC.

Guess who scored 40pts in FF on the Jets' two top receivers? ;)

  5. And guess who sat Forte? 30 points on the bench

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

It's sickening to be a Bills fan and see Roman fired, and Rex and his idiot brother still have jobs.

Heard an interesting take on Roman being fired.

Rex Ryan's job will be in jeopardy if this season doesn't get drastically better. The most likely person to succeed Ryan if he were to be fired mid-season would be Roman. Obviously you wouldn't fire Rex and have his brother be coach, right? So the other Coordinator, who was thought highly of previous to this year, is the obvious choice.

But fire him and you probably let give Rex more of a chance, since you wouldn't want to bring someone in from outside midseason, especially with a new OC (now) and a new DC (assuming his twin brother would leave or be fired with him). Maybe Rex was giving himself some job security?

Yall must've seen a different game than me. What the Hell happened to the Bills. If it wasn't for two long yard TDs the score would have more rightly reflected their performance. The Jets owned that game. So disappointed. And at home too. I thought S Bradford was the QB, I just don't get it from time to time. I picked the Bills to win and they got served.

I will go out here and say that I can see the Bills Not winning a single game this season. Houston is definitely going to the playoff games. The Cowboys will have a better season than last year. Miami ( that I had hopes for ) will not produce this season.

  10. Why the hell didn't Green Bay kick the field goal?

    Dear Houston Texans:

Being unable to score touchdowns and settling for field goals is going to bite you in the ass.

    Sincerely,

    Texans Fans,
New England Patriots and Your Other Future Opponents

    -------------------------------------------------

With that said, an ugly win still counts, as does 2-0. And the Colts & Jaguars lost. The pathetic Lions :( couldn't beat the pathetic Titans.

The fugging cowgirls won .....but so did the Giants.

The Next NFL Dynasty scored three points.

Well there he is. ..S.Bradford with the Vikings and it appears that the OC is changing to a pass offense. AP will no longer be the focus. That game was won by the whole team. It was good to see them win

  13. After AP went down, they didn't have much choice. Not that he was doing much up to that point.

Congrats on winning the week, Popeye!

Thanks, I'm thinking that the Texans are going to win against NE even on their own turf.

    That would be nice.

Thursday's game goes much deeper than just a win or loss. Many Texans' fans remember that it was the Patriots who exposed the Texans fragility back in 2013. While I expect the Texans to win pretty much only because of the Patriots QB situation, a loss, esp a big loss, would be a major test of the Texans resolve.

Schaub, Dennison, & Kubiak flunked that test. (Yes, I know that Kubiak & Dennison won the Super Bowl last season, and I still give most the credit to Wade Phillips).

I'm not sure how Osweiler, Godsey, & O'Brien would handle it. I'd like to see Osweiler continue to build his confidence.

Andre Johnson might be old & slow, but he can still catch the football.

Ok so I didn't take the Vikings against my will. I really want them to win but it just doesn't look like their time also didn't go with the Texans either @ChrisNoyb. Good luck to everyone this is going to be an excellent week

I'm not going to post the first thing that came to my mind, @POPEYE.

    -------------------------------------------------

In what areas did the Texans look like shit?

    1. Coaching.

    2. Offense.

    3. Special teams.

    4. Defense (with no thanks to two and three).

    5. Coaching.

The loss was humiliating, even more so considering the Patriots were using a rookie third string QB, Gronkowski and some other starters were sidelined.

But it was just one game.
    Or was it?

The big question: Will the Texans be able to recover?

  20. I came thisclose to picking the Texans last night. Could not pull that trigger.
