    The Broncos do, obviously. :D

    I'd say that the Texans, Jets, and Cardinals were close. Seahawks, Panthers, and Chiefs right behind that.

    I think there are some supporting pieces necessary, like a decent O-line to prevent the QB from getting killed (and to prevent forced fumbles from sacks), and at least a threat of a run game.

    I hope that the Texans develop and/or sign a receiver to help Hopkins. Osweiller might get by with being a ball-control QB.....but the Texans will still need TDs instead of FGs.

    the issue is that theres some good talent out there and some crappy talent in the qb position. I think rg3 or johnny football will end up either in Oakland or buffalo

    I don't follow the Raiders unless something they do is "big" news. I thought that Derek Carr was doing well with the Raiders.

    I had wanted to read more about Manziel as person. The article portrayed him much as I thought--A kid who got everything he wanted, who is now having a hard time dealing the reality of making it in the NFL, and the possibility of being just another guy. It also shows that his drinking goes back quite a few years (not that is a shocker).

    Guess who just signed RGIII? Two year deal, only first year is guaranteed, about $7M between signing bonus and base salary....

    Was RGIII a good QB needing development but stuck in a bad situation with the Redskins, or a just a bad QB?
    Will he live up to his potential with the Browns?

    The NFL shuffle of mediocre, yo-yo, & unknown quality QBs continues.

    Related to the dearth of of good QBs, and how the Broncos made it to and won the SB with their defense, I'm guessing that top D players will be seeing some even more lucrative contracts.

    RGIII won't be a franchise QB. He's Russell Wilson without the intelligence or elusiveness. Or Cam Newton without the incredible strength, size, and toughness.

    Maybe a more stable version of Johnny Manziel?

    I just think his style leads to taking a massive pounding that his body can't handle. I don't believe he can adjust enough to be successful mostly in the pocket either. My $.02.

    I was about to ask, but the reports I'm now seeing indicate that Kaepernick will most likely stay with the 49ers.

    -------------------------------------
    It seems that jackass jerry jones hasn't completely written off the possibility of signing Manziel, but first wants to "help" him. If Manziel had "partying" relapses in Cleveland, what might happen when he's back in Texas close to his "friends?" BTW/TBF Borla had mentioned this potential problem many months ago.

    I have no idea what the NFL would think of a team owner helping a free agent player without first signing that player, and apparently neither does jackass jerry.

    This morning I heard a report on the radio that Manziel very recently had three incidents.

    One of the entertainment "news" programs showed a video of him acting strangely (not drunk?, but possibly stoned?).

    He was a passenger in a car, and the driver ran into a light pole. They both fled the scene on foot. The driver is connected to a famous rapper?

    Rosenhaus has dumped Manziel.

    Also reported--Manziel is living with a Browns player who was on suspension when Manziel was with the team. It seems that Manziel continues to hang around with the wrong people.

    Interesting note--The local media (sports and news), who gleefully rode the Johnny Football gravy train, are now barely giving him any attention.

    The article I posted last night has some detail. Crazy stuff, it will be a miracle if this doesn't end tragically. :(

    The Titans appear to be a team needing a complete rebuild, i.e. it ain't going to happen in just one or two seasons. If their GM and scouts are on the ball (horrible pun!) obtaining additional picks to (hopefully) address multiple needs rather than getting one or two high profile prospects might be best for them.

    Their defense was okay (not great, but also not horrible), and probably would've ranked higher if their offense had been able to do more. I agree that it is a good move for them. Better to have multiple picks in the first two rounds. Mariota showed signs he can be a good NFL QB. Get him some O-line help, a weapon or two at a skill position, and continue to grow the defense. We'll see if the picks pan out, but I agree with the strategy.

    The Houston Texans 2106 Schedule, and my limited predictions. If the Texans defense has improved, and Osweiller proves to be a at least a competent QB, a few "close" games could go to the Texans.

    W = should be a win.
    w = might turn out to be a loss.
    L = loss.
    l = might turn out to be a win.
    ? = self-explanatory.

    So I have the Texans finishing 12-4, with four maybe not wins, and one maybe not loss.
