Wow, I would not have predicted that outcome. I guess the Pats turned out to be the underdog after all. Then they weren't...I'm so confused!

 

A big CONGRATULATIONS to the New England Patriots.

A huge YOU TOTALLY SUCK to the Atlanta Falcons.

 

New England ran 93 plays, Atlanta only 46. Brady took a beating for 2-1/2 quarters, but when the Falcons stopped getting pressure on him, he and his team still had the chops to make plays.
OC Shanahan has to take the blame for exposing Ryan to that strip sack, then calling yet another pass, when a holding penalty put them out of field goal range.
The defensive line ran out of gas and the coach made poor decisions. The Pats were able to take advantage (insane catch by Edelman!).
Great entertainment for a fan with no rooting bias or money on the line.

Kyle Shanahan is taking a lot of heat for calling pass plays when the Falcons were already in FG range. Which resulted in a sack, then a holding call, and a punt. Ballsy or stupid.

How many decades will 25 point deficit comeback record hold? Many is my guess.
