Shouldn't I at least get a cookie for winning the fantasy league and the pick-em league?

How is earning a little over 20 points not a comeback?

Both teams had momentum in the regular season and the playoffs.

Both teams have talent on offense & defense.

Which leaves experience. I can see the Falcons making mistakes in the first half, then settling down in the second half. But the Patriots are good enough to take advantage of those mistakes and hold off the Falcons surge in the second half.

I'll be rooting for the "underdog" Falcons, but can see the Patriots winning by three to seven points in a surprisingly low scoring game.

    What say y'all?

  5. I wouldn't be surprised by just about any outcome. I have no emotional attachment to either team, even though Brady is a Michigan man. I'm hoping for an entertaining shootout featuring two gunslinger quarterbacks. (Which probably means the defenses will dominate) I predict that the Patriots' experience will be the difference in a close contest, winning by a touchdown or less.

Honestly, I mostly just hope for a good game. My second request, as I've mentioned before, would be for a Pats win/Brady MVP, just so Goodell has to stand on the stage and fake being happy about that in front of a couple hundred million people.

Though Atlanta's defense played well through the playoffs, they really weren't very good all year, they just had such a powerful offense they outgunned everyone. The Pats had a really solid defense, and I have a hard time betting against Brady and Belichek when they have two weeks to prepare. I predict a Pats win, maybe something like 31-28 or 34-27. But like @grumpyolddude said, I wouldn't be shocked by anything really, the weird tempo of Super Bowl games (due to long commercials, more frequent breaks, and a very long half time) could lead to anything. But even that leans in the Pats favor IMO, because so many of them have been to multiple SBs before, and because they have the most thoroughly prepared coach in the NFL, maybe in NFL history.

Here is my simple line of thought.
I was rooting for the Cowboys over the Packers.
When the Packers won, I rooted for the Packers over the Falcons, and when the Falcons won, that's who I decided to root for in the Super Bowl.
I feel the Falcons are the underdog and I like Underdog. And that's what I think about that!

I see that a high scoring game is being predicted.

I'll take close, or an ass kicking, as long as the Falcons win.....LOL!

Was I the only one clapping for Doug Williams? It didn't sound like the crowd did.

That was nice with Mr and Barbara Bush at the coin toss. Too bad them two bred and born, raised and nourished the Anti Christ.

  17. This is a very un-Patriot-like performance. The Falcons are playing a more poised, determined game.
