I had mentioned that OB could've (should've?) made Savage the starter after game eight, giving him two weeks to work with the first team offense. I'm ready to see if Savage can put some life in the Texans offense.

Thank you to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Now the Texans need beat the Bengals to clinch the AFC South. Yeah, I know, a weak champion of a weak division.

    I'll take it.

Mariota broke his leg today, so it doesn't look like the Titans will challenge for it next week.

Man...can't catch a break...or in this case, we did but in the wrong way...
Waited oh so many years for the Raiders to get to the playoff and have a winning season...then Carr breaks his leg. (right before the end of the season...not to mention his finger from before...)

Geez, don't know what to do...I guess hope and keep playing.
    Nah...can't be easier.

As long as it's not RG3 level damage (he never bounced back from that fiasco)

The Texans had to rely on Randy Bullock to miss.

    And he did.

    An ugly win still counts.

Not a Raiders fan but SO disappointed to see that happen to Carr.
Hope he bounces back well next year.

In the TFP Fantasy Football championship I was set to lose and come in second since almost the start of the weekend. Zeke Elliot's second TD tonight looks to have sealed my win and the championship for me, as he's the only active player left.

In my other league, which is 12 teams, I am playing in the runner up playoff game. I was also behind all weekend. Zeke's second TD also looks to have given me that game as well, as he's also the only active player there.

Hate to root for the Cowboys, and I can't say I realized how huge he'd be for the success to both of my fantasy teams, but I'm not complaining. :D

Derek Carr also broke his fibula, and Tyler Lockett broke his fibula and tibia. Bad day for legs across the NFL on Christmas Eve.

Too bad Prescott didn't....actually I'd rather see the cowgirls get knocked out of the POs while healthy, it would mean less whineyassing from their fans.

  10. Congratulations, my friend. I kinda saw the end was near for me when Thomas and the Ravens D performed so poorly. My only hope was if Dallas rested Elliot. No way the Lions were going to contain him.

You had the highest scoring team all season long. I got lucky in our earlier match-ups.

Thank you! Was a fun season, and your Lions will be interesting to watch next week. Can't say I'd mind seeing them knock off the Packers.

Bye Bye Rex. And your idiot brother too.
Losing to the Dolphins in OT because the Bills defense only had 10 men on the field on a couple of crucial plays was the straw that broke the camel's back I suppose.

But Rob "Fat Hippy" Ryan is a defensive jeenyus.

I hope that Savage is OK and will be ready for the POs. At least today's game didn't mean much to the Texans; I'm hoping the Raiders have to come here for the wildcard.

I have no delusions. The Texans might (or might not!) get past the Raiders simply because Carr is out, but then they'll have to face one of the really good teams. Oh well, at least they'll (hopefully) pick up an extra PO paycheck.

Dolphins at Steelers. Meh. Maybe the Dolphins deserve to advance after their long PO drought......but they're also without their starting QB.

The Lions drew the short straw. I would root for them but I just can't simply because I think that the Seahawks would stand a much better chance against the cowgirls if that game happens.

Giants at Packers. This is a tough one. I'd love to see Eli get another SB champ ring because he plays in the shadow of Peyton (yeah, yeah, Peyton IS more talented). Also the Giants have a habit of surprising nearly everyone once they hit the POs. But again I'm trying to figure which team has the best chance of beating the cowgirls.

So far the Texans look like they'll do just enough to move on.

    20 - 7 looks good.

We'll see if the Texans can control the 2nd half.

Considering the QB situation for Oakland, I can't imagine them mounting a comeback. But I guess that's why they don't stop the game halfway through. :p

Obviously any of the other AFC teams left will likely stop the Texans after this, but again, that's why they play the games, eh?
