    My brother played baseball with him on a travelling team a few years back. Aside from the fact that he was a real asset to the Cubbies, it was so cool to see a hometown kid in the big leagues. Here's to next season, Kyle.

    Reds blew a 5-2 lead, and lost 6-5. Kinda angry at Hoover, having flashbacks from last season.


    We're still 3-1, though.

    I'm a White Sox fan, not a Cubs fan. But, as a baseball fan in the Chicago area, I thought it would be awesome to see the Cubs have a legit shot. Nice young lineup with some good veteran arms. And I like Schwarber, was hoping he'd have a big year. So I was honestly sorry to see/hear this.

    Hoover redeemed himself, sort of. Reds 5, Pirates 1. Votto had an awesome double play in the 7th inning. Suarez is looking good.

    Work is interfering with my baseball :p

    I checked the score on break Monday night, and the Reds were winning, 3-0. I checked again on the second break, and they'd lost 3-5. Looks like the bullpen was in Freak Out Mode again :confused:


    I like what I've seen of Suarez so far, though. And Billy Hamilton clocked the fastest home run trot, because of course he did. Run, Billy, run :)

    Revenge against the Cubbies will (hopefully) be had tonight.

    ...revenge was not had. Reds got spanked. Ah, well. New day, new game.

    We may try to hit up the local minor league team's Opening Night, though, so I *will* be watching baseball, but maybe not the Reds/Cubs.

    Lost to the Mets...grrr. DeSclafani should be back soon, though, and Phillips & Bruce should be back on Friday against the Pirates (Phillips was injured, Bruce had a kid.)
