The Nats home opener is Friday against the Braves. I cant make it.

Vegas has the Nats with the 4th or 5th best odds to win the World Series at 9:1 to 12:1.

If Strasburg has a break-out year with the other solid starters and Bryce Harper taking it to another level, I like those odds.

Best odds: Dodgers, Tigers, Cards and Red Sox

I'm living in an exalted state of mind today. My Phillies started the day leading the league in most (if not all) offensive categories. Now for the inevitable decline into reality....

That's what's so awesome about the first 2 weeks of the season...anything is possible! Screw reality and enjoy it while it lasts!

    :D

    The Lastros actually won .

They beat the reviled (by me) Yankees .

That should count as a double victory.

Reds & the Cards meet up again tonight at 7. Might have to settle for listening instead of watching. I wish WLW came in down here. Anyway, I'm hoping the bats come out a bit more tonight. No stranded runners!

And Ian Kinsler with the game-winning homer! Excellent.

  15. My bad, instead of watching Game Day like I normally do I was watching a stream and it was really hard to tell what was happening. There was literally so much lag that I thought that Alex Gonzalez had done it a second day in a row at first :(

  17. Two games and two players that "fans" bitched about the Tigers acquiring have been the hitting heroes. I like it.

It he a strong candidate for Wookie of the Year?

I'm almost embarrassed to post that one.....

Reds won last night! There was a rain delay, though, so I didn't get to watch/listen. I hope this isn't the beginning of a pattern..."If I don't watch 'em, they win." That would be lame.

Second consecutive soul-sucking 9th inning loss by the Phillies.

Once again, demonstrating the same old problems. Who would've thought that the same bullpen that was ineffective last season would still be bad this year?

Countdown is commencing to the GM's firing date...
