Nah, the media does not want to let the citizens know that the police cannot protect them in a duly fashion. Makes it look bad for public services.

I toyed with the idea of posting this in the general general discussion forum, with the abduction of the girl being a nationally reported incident, but not the method of the assailants apprehension, I thought MEBBE this would get some non-gun peeps to stop and go, 'Hmmmm...', but still being somewhat new to this site, I was hesitant to start making waves...

anyone have any thoughts?
