Custom Benchmade AFCK (pics!)

Well, first I started with a knife like this, only a little more worn:

My friend and I buffed off the black coating, which was a major pain in the ass. Then the hand sanding and hand polishing...

And today, for my final trick, I put the logo back!

I'll post more pics when it is finished.

I'll be on the veranda, since you're on the cross.

Nice work. How did you put the logo back on? Electro-etch, photo-etch, or other?

Nice work. I have two AFCKs one of them with the H2 metal - both of the SBT variety. I've found it the most handy folder i've ever had - even compared to the Emerson CQB folding tanto, Benchmade Osbourne and Benchmade Presidio Automatic I have. Very nice work.

I've also noticed the pistol grips - Nil Griffe - If that's your gun you have good taste in grips. I have a set of Nil Griffes for my Browning Hi-Power. They're tough to find in the US. There's only one US distributer in Maine. My favorite walnut grips.

Thanks!

The gun isn't mine sadly, I found that pic on the web.

The snakewood scales are attached!

We still have to finish all the edges, but the shape is there.

The fit isn't perfect, but this was done with the most basic tools and negligible experience. We'll make new scales once we have a real shop again.

Nice work, I'm thinking a AFTCK bench made with the axis lock. Are there similar ones? The non-serrated edge and the amount of weight the lock can are nice .
