I got a bow
It is cool. I picked up a bow and all the stuff I needed yesterday. Spnet a little bit of time sighting in the 20 yard sight. Today I went to a fun shoot my mom ans step-dad belong to and shot. it was a 3D shoot. It was a blast. the only thing that sucked was I had to shoot form the farthest stakes because of my age and equipment classification (compund with sights and trigger release). I actually hit some of the targets. I scored a 133 out of 40 targets. (yes I missed a few) My best shot was the first one. I actually got a 10 X. Of course that was my only one but heck I had fun. I did learn that trees are not your friend when trying to shoot through them at a target. the best thing is that I did not lose or break a single arrow. Hopefully the weather is good enough to do it again tommorrow. Just wanted to let you guys know since I am excited about it.

I very much enjoy bow shooting. One of my uncles hunts with his bow, and he actually offered to take me along sometime... I really need to take him up on it next time I'm out in Montana.
But yeah, bows are sweet. Enjoy. |

That is outstanding for a first outing, congratulations. Keeping all your arrows is another bonus for you.
I shoot a Hoyt, and PSE. I have a record Javelina that took forty five minutes of "talking", and parrying before a nicely placed 10yd shot. I also hunt mulies and whitetail with them. What bow did you get? What arrows? Archery is something I enjoy with almost a passion. |

it is a PSC bow that came with the sights and such and i bought a trigger release. The only thing I really kow about the arrows is that they are a composite material and they were cut to my draw length. I am currently at school and the bow is at home so I dont have much more info.
I have learned trying to find an indoor place around here to be able to sight in the 30 and 40 yd sights is tough. Most of the time it is too windy to do it at my mom's house. I am hoping i can get it done before the 15th when there is another shoot. if not I guess guessing will be in place again.

i'd like to get into shooting bows myself, so far ive only used a hunting bow with sights and crap and i wasnt really satisfied, i'd like to get a nice recurve and learn how to nail targets from all distances without a sight, ive seen some crazy people do that before, its totally awesome.

I shoot a Mathews Legacy I got almost 2 years ago. I shot my first whitetail last year with it.
