K-98 Scope Mount
Looking for different K-98 scope mount options that will allow me to use the stripper clips and the scope at the same time.
Preferably an option that requires little to no altering of the rifle itself (milling, drilling, tapping). Also it would be nice if said option was under $100.00 I'm just interested in the mount itself, not the scope or rings. Also it doesn't have to be WWII vintage, It can predate the war or even be a modern reproduction or original design. I know that this is a pretty tall order but I've been searching the net for a while and have yet to find such a product. Thanks! |

Can't help you directly, but you might head over to AR15.com and ask those guys.
I know of at least one guy there who is a K98 fan and lots of others who know a ****load more about guns than I ever will. Good luck!

Airsoft mounts are usually made to precisely the same dimensions as the original real steel. Might be worthwhile checking for those...
I know there was an H&K claw mount that Maruzen made some years ago that was made so well, real steel folks actually bought them.

Don't know if this will help or not, but check out Brownells and do a search for side mount ring. Sorry can't link the page directly as the use frames.
Downside to this is you will probably have to do some drilling tapping and hollowing out of the stock. |
