What's the wierdest thing in your collection?
Reading an earlier thread, I can agree that it's probably not wise to list out your whole collection on the net, but what one item in your collection of weapons is the out and out wierd one? What do you show your friends just to see the look on their face?
For me, it's a Thunder 5 .410 shotgun revolver. It will also fire a .45 long Colt, but loading this baby up with 5 birdshot shells, it will lay WASTE to a paper target at 10 yards. And, when empty, you could kill an elephant with it by throwing it. =P |
HOLY SHIT! That mustkill your wrists!
|
Mine is a .22WMR 5-shot revolver made by (I think) NAA. It's one of those that is small enough to be mounted on a belt buckle. Makes one of the loudest noises in creation when fired and is almost uncontrollable due to its' miniscule grips. It's terribly amusing to shoot as you get all sorts of "what a cute lil gun, does it work?" comments, followed shortly by shocked and stunned looks as they cannot believe how loud it is.
|
saaay- whats that thunder 5 retail for- and do they still make it- Dad had a .410 derringer and I have been enamored of the concept of the shot pistol ever since
|
I don't own any guns yet, but my most unusual piece would have to be my 20" long Ang Khola khukuri! :D
|
Mine isn't that strange, but I bought it for 50$ off a friend.
It's a Baretta 950 mouse gun that shots .22 shorts. |
Either...
a .30 carbine pistol by the late AMT or a .22 Wamo single shot pistol |

They're $495 a piece, order online and it will be shipped to your local firearm retailer. I don't know if I would call anything I have "weidrd," but I do have some rather uncommon, old guns, including a 12ga H&R shotgun produced in 1901 and a Remington .22 octagonal barrel rifle from around the same time. Both are in working condition and can be fired. |
A replica of a 17th century Italian knife that has a pistol built into it (doesnt fire, though I might get someone to machine the parts to make it work).
|
if thats a DENIX replica- dont bother- all the parts are zamac- its designed to fall apart if used or if you try to convert it- can result in bad mojo for your sensitive body parts
|
I have an OOOLLLLLDDDD single shot .22 made in the early 1900's. It's about 3 ft. in length and it has a hair trigger. Im scared to take it shooting because if you shake or bump it hard enough it fires. I also have a 3' magnum. Its a strange shotgun i have that ive never seen anyone else with.
|
Not DENIX, Medio Eva. The pistol piece would have to be completely replaced, I wouldnt just put working "parts" in it, wouldnt be very wise no matter who made the replica =P I probably wont do it though, too much effort for something that *might* work.
|
How about a charter arms AR-7 with a factory wooden stock and forarm both with pistol grips
or a remington nylon 76, like a nylon 66 except it is a lever action |
Old remington .32 rimfire rifle with a rolling block action
|
Pair of Colt .22 single shot dueling pisols. The old tiny kind you have to turn the barrel sideways to put the bullett into. Inherited from a grandparent, they're in a really nice old wood box, red felt lining.
|
I don't have anything truly weird in mine. But it's still funny to see the look on someones face when I show them a .50 Desert Eagle. :)
Yes, I shoot it, and yes, I enjoy shooting it. |
BoomTruck,
My AMT is sort of like that, too :) |
My dad has a BFR (that's Biggest, Finest, Revolver) in .45/70, it also tends to get a lot of different reactions.

Hahahah now i wanna see this. Can you post pics? Either of the gun or of people giving you a horrid look :) |
Mine would probably have to be a glock 21 (fullsize .45) that I had chromed and then put a lasermax unit in it. It's pretty cool. I also have an awesome Stainless Armalite AR-10 that draws ews and aws from observers. I love gun talk!!

gun chambered in .401 magnum
