Anyone else into throwing knives? Don't know why I enjoy them so much, but I do. I find a short practice session after a long day's work is very therapeutic. Everyone here seems to be pretty big into guns. Just wondered if there was any love for the "finer points" of life. ;) |

been throwing knives and spikes for about 10 years now... have a few sets of throwers, plus about 25 throwing spikes that I made myseft out of 6", 8", and 12" galvanized nails. nothing better than that repeated 'thunk' into a target after a long day. |

I've been wanting throwing knives for the longest time now. They work so much better than just throwing regular knifes. Asta!! |

I never really got any good with em so I gave em up. Anybody have any tips or techniques they would be willing to share??? Thanks! |

learn with the cheapest set you can find... and read up on some techniques.. think the site http://www.throwzini.com has some good tips. You will destroy and/or lose your first sets of throwers. Once you're getting better and still liking it, invest in some more expensive and bigger throwers.. about 10-12".. set of three will run you anywhere from $50 to $150 depending on the type. $50-80 range is fine. the little lightweight knives are great at 1 spin distance, maybe 1.5 spins, but beyond that they're too light to be reliable. |
