Happy Birthday to me!

Today I received a small gift-wrapped box for my birthday. At first, I thought it was a typical horrible-computer-game-that-I-have-to-pretend-to-enjoy, but when I opened it up I found something quite different. A Kel-Tec P32 and a box of ammo!

I received my carry permit a month or so earlier, and was previously using my dad's .380 and so this was a very pleasant suprise. Does anyone have any experiences with this weapon, or know anyone who has?

and this is a 10 round magazine from a 9mm glock:

Congrats!

I have heard nothing but good about KelTec, though I have not fired one. Let us know how it shoots...

Happy Birthday!

They have a resonably good reputation. You want to take it to the range a lot to work out any kinks, and only carry ball ammunition b/c those little .32 acp are supposed to have real penetration problems and hollowpoints often won't penetrate deep enough after going through clothing.

I am thinking of getting a keltec P3-AT when I have some spare cash. It's just like your little p32, but in .380

cheers

I have a Keltec P11 (9mm) and while it is very conceilable, I really wish it was more accurate.

I am also spoiled by my SIG's trigger, so I am also disappointed by the rough double action.

On the plus, it's eaten Speer Gold-Dot, Federal Hydra-shok and ball ammo all without hiccups.

Sweet birthday present. In Texas, from what I hear. When you qualify with your Concealed Handgun License. The caliber you qualify with you can carry and below. Is that true in your state? I really need to go get my CHL. Just need to find a decent indoor gun range that gives the class.

That's not the case in MN. You can qualify with a .22 and carry around a 12 gauge shotgun if you wanted to.

Neat lil gun. I've heard really good things about them.

Update: took it to the range today to try it out, and it is pretty accurate. At roughly 30 ft I got 18 of 21 rounds clustered relatively well in the center circle of a sillouhette target. The sights are a little odd, (two white dots, the front "stacks" on top of the rear) but they work pretty well. A nice gun, I like it. <3
