Gibson Research are recommending the temporary patch to protect Windows against the WMF exploit. ..

there is also a test program available to check if your pc is vulnerable

Have to give him kudos for getting his patch out, and perhaps motivating MS. MS should be releasing their official (pre?) patch - Finally. Less than an hour away if they keep to schedule.

Ran the test, found my system vulnerable, installed the patch, I am now INVULNERABLE!!

I just got an MS update message re a 'media file vulnerability'.
