getting streaming video into a save-able format is hurting my brain....
hey guys,
I've got access to a site with great vids, all streaming. i can get the source info, and then play back the mms://.... on windows media player but cant save it. and I can even find the movie in my temporary internet folder, but i cant seem to save the movies in a playable format. the files from the temp folder are in some stupid .dat format, and i've even tried different streaming devices, the only one that worked ok (GetASFStream) denies saving because of password verification to d/l (i've got password verification to view the site but not d/l i guess). i've been trying for over an hour any help would be great. |

off the top of my head, I think you can use a download manager called Net Download(er) 2 to download streaming files. That should work, if I've gotten the name of the program right.

do a search here. There's plenty of people that have asked this very question, many many many many times.
