Mac ICS from Airport to ethernet
So my buddy just got XBox 360. He's got a wireless router and no money for the XBox wireless adapter doohickey.
I figured we could use his PowerBook to give him internet access on the XBox. He's running Panther. The computer connects wirelessly. It didn't seem to work after activating internet connection sharing. Is it possible to send internet through ethernet when recieving it wirelessly? Any suggestions? |
I'm not sure of the particulars, but I would bet you would need a crossover cable to do this instead of the regular patch cable.

That's what I figured. I didn't check myself, but he told me that the connector on the Xbox isn't even a real ethernet port. Some crazy proprietary ethernet connection.
Can anyone confirm? |
I highly doubt it's a crazy proprietary ethernet connection, because otherwise it'd be a massive pain in the ass to network, but you'll need a crossover cable to network the Mac and the XBox.
