Scary frackin' error
I just booted my comp up and it ran well for a few minutes, then it just locked up, which rarely ever happens because this machine is so l33t. I rebooted it, and I was astounded to recieve "SYSTEM DISK ERROR - PRESS ENTER TO REBOOT". I pressed enter and the same error happened.
I shut the john down and redid the SATA connections, booted back up, and now everything is fine. I almost shat myself for a minute - tomorrow is my first day of school and I've got all this economics prep work that I've yet to print :O |
I've been having the same problem with my system because the power connector on my hard drive isn't gripping the plug hard enough, so over time the plug works its way out until the drive shuts down. I got some gaffers tape and secured the plug and the data cable to the drive and it solved the problem.

isn't system disk error when you have a floppy disk in when you first boot up?
|
It would, if I had a floppy in the drive. If I even had a floppy drive :O If I even had the floppy drive controller enabled :O :O :O
|
System Disk Error can be anything that a bootloader can reside on.
