Which PDA (Mac friendly) should I buy?!
I am in the market for a PDA to assist me in my real estate business. I don't need fancy, marketing crap such as an MP3 player or a digital camera, etc. I need a Bluetooth enabled organizer and scheduler/appintment reminder device that syncs up painlessly with my Mac. Text input is important.
Currently I use Entourage and Yahoo for email/scheduling and organizing. I am always up for input on software that will do a better job for me to stay organized, so fire away. I am not opposed to a PDA/cel phone if that is a smart way to go. My current cel plan expires in the beginning of September, so that may be worth considering. Thanks in advance for you help and insight. G |
I personally use a Palm, but I have recently heard a lot of negative on future growth for palm users. I would still use a palm, I have a Tungsten T3, and I use it in my real estate business.

Ditto. There exist many Palm apps (RE included) and there's a huge community. It's less of a PC than PPC, but battery life is great and I'll haul my laptop around if general purpose PC apps are important.
No small part of your choice should rest on the classic automation question: Consider what you want to do with it, when/where, if you'll be creating tools yourself, and then evaluate platforms. |
You definetly want PalmOS over Pocket PC if you're on a Mac. That was really a slap to the face, the first time I tried to use my PPC on my Mac. You'd need third party software to get it to run. I believe the software I was looking into cost $80+.
