New Heatsink/Fan installed last night
This isn't a question, per se, just thought I'd put up some pictures because I'm happy with it
Old and Busted: http://photos22.flickr.com/28656479_b844b5ed55_b.jpg New and Hot http://photos22.flickr.com/28656478_3450681e8b_b.jpg http://photos21.flickr.com/28656477_ba7a9d349d_b.jpg I haven't had a chance to test run the new temperatures on this one because I'm sleeving my power supply as we speak, but I hear the change is pretty extreme, and I've been told that this is one of the best Heatsinks on the market, so I'm expecting good things. |
What kind of processor you got? P4? From a glance the heatsink doesn't look secured down. Don't forget to hook up the fan. Definitely over designed looks like a freak heatsink. Nice job though

It's not over designed. Those heat pipes work incredibly well, even better than a standard heatsink. I saw a review where they punctured the heat pipe to see what happens...the thermal shutdown occurred it got so hot. It may be flashy, but it's sure doing an important job. :)
