Cable to go from a Router to a access point.
title sayes it all. Im hooking up a wireless access point to a non wireless router. I tried hooking it up with a normal cat5 cable. just a strait cable. dont seem to work. so i though maybe i need a cross over or something. Let me know. they are both Linksys products. i bought the access point cuz i though it would be easier to hook up than a whole new wireless router. now im thinking twise about that. it dont seem to be comunicationing between the router and the accesspoint. But some reason it seems like i can access the Accesspoint threw some of the wired computer. By typeing in the ip address. but they still dont seem to be working.
i realy dont know whats wrong. Let me know if u guys got any suggestions. hell who knows i dont know much about access points. i could be hooking it up totaly wrong.

working on it right now. got it all hooked up like its suppose to be. i can access its control panel threw a wired connection. threw its ip addy. 192.168.1.252. seems to be comunicationing with the router fine. But it wont cast a wireless signal. the wlan activity light just blinks and the lan light just blinks once inawhile. i just cant figure out wtf is up with this thing.
