Monitor Woes????
Greetings Kids,
I woke up this morning to a very unpleasantly surprise! Its a little more pronounced on my screen but if you look at the attached picture you can see these repeating red/green diagonal lines. I updated my driver for my ATI 9800Pro but to no avail. Does this mean my monitor, a Dell P991, is dying a slow death? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for any help you can offer. Much appreciated. My specs: P4 2.6HT ATI 9800Pro M-Audio 7.1 1.25G 3200 DDR RAM Windows XP SP2

Hah, you can't take a desktop screenshot and expect us to see what your monitor is showing you. The screenshot will show you what Windows is displaying, not your monitor. If you want us to see something that your screen is doing, take a camera and then take a picture of it.
Have you tried using the degauss function that your monitor probably has in its settings?

From what you describe, diagonal lines (not blotches) you need to get a repair estimate for the monitor, if it is worth it.
First try other screen resolutions and see if the problem goes away. Last edited by flat5; 06-23-2005 at 05:40 PM.. |
