Where can I buy a color organ?
 

I don't know if these devices go by any other names, but I built one in my high school electronics class. Basically you plug it into the audio output of your computer/cdplayer/turntables and it has 3 electrical outlets that you can plug in christmas lights or whatever. The lights then flash to the beats of the corresponding frequencies (hi,mid,lo). Anyway, I lost the one I made in high school, and I wanted to know where i could find one of these, either premade or as a kit. Thanks in advance.

Any large music store with dj/live department or a lighting department. should be able to provide such a thing or redirect to who can. I think you used to be able to get them in Radio Shack but that was a long time ago.

Maplin in the UK do them - they're basically the same as Radio Shack.

I have a Radio Shack Color Organ I can part with...
