Volume Control Issue
On the taskbar, where the notifications are next to the time in the lower right hand corner, the link to adjust volume has disappeared. I tried to customize my notifications but it shows the volume adjustment as a past item so even if i click to always show, there is nothing there. Did I delete something? And if so, how do i restore the volume control?
Thanks!!

I try to put a checkmark there and it says "Windows cannot display the volume control because the volume control program has not been installed. to install it, usee add/remove programs in control panel." Three days ago i could adjust the volume and now it has disappeared?!

this is my work computer so i have no idea where to get anything to install. volume works and I can adjust the volume setting if i click on the control panel, for some reason, the option that puts it in the taskbar is not allowed now. thanks to both of you for your advice, and if you have any additional advice it is appreciated.
