What have you tried so far? Try this link and see if any of these tips help.

Are you using FireFox or IE; if you're using IE consider changing to firefox.

Have you tried Spybot Search & Destroy? It's a freeware, also, try Lavasoft Ad-Aware, there is a free version. Finally, run a full virus scan on your system. Backup your registry, run a search in the registry, Start-Run-Regedit, hit F3 key and type in adwave and look for anything affiliated to the little bugger. Delete any reference to adwave, it may take a while to search the entire registry. Hope this helps with the problem.

sashime76's advice sounds good. Just make sure you follow the step of backing up the registry or setting a system restore point. Deleting registry files can mess up everything, i know from experience and it was a hassle getting back to normal.

He said he was on a work computer and couldn't download Firefox or any agents. Sounds to me like he doesn't have administrative priveleges. Get your boss or the IT guys to deal with it.
