help- widescreen resolution
im using a toshiba laptop with a 4:3 ratio screen. when i connect a widescreen LCD to it, it stretches the scrren to fit, distorting it. is there any way to get true widescreen resolution on the attached monitor? [ie. 1280X768]
my graphics card on the laptop is geforce4 420go the monitor is a Sharp LL-171MU 17" WideScreen |

Right click on the desktop: go to propterties - Settings. You should be able to select the different monitors and define the resolution for each.

You need a utility called Powerstrip. See http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm.
I have a plasma that runs native at 1635x768 and I use this tool to get native resolution out of my ATI video card. |
