Anyone have a "Creative Zen MP3" player ?

I'm thinking of buying a 4 or 5 GB Creative Zen MP3 player.
I like the shape,FM radio and recording features and do not
need a 30 GB size. Anyone have one with 4 or 5 GB and will
tell me if you llike yours?

I am also interested in purchasing a mp3 player of similar size, I was looking more at the Iriver one though. Anyone?

I bought one of the 5g Zens few weekends ago for my wife. That thing is cool as hell!
  • It's similar to ipod without the circle touchpad, but just as easy to use.
  • Battery life on it seems to be good so far.
  • You can remove the battery and replace if you need to.
  • The FM radio does work, but without an external antenna, it gets fuzzy sometimes.
  • It comes with a "holder" with 2 removable clips. 1 to stand it up on your desk, the other is a belt clip.
  • You can make your playlists on the desktop software if you choose to do playlists, or it will just go down the folders and play everything.

I want one, but I will borrow hers when if and when I need to

Thanks for all of the input . (I read one that I thought was funny
but very correct when he wrote: "the 5 GB MP3 player is good
enought for me. I don't need a 30 GB player.....I'm not going to
listen to 10,000 songs every time I leave the house!")

I have the 20gb zen touch and have only one complaint and that is you can't make playlist on the actual player, but thats cos i'm too lazy to do on the computer. Apart from that it's perfect, sound is amazings, the way it feels is amazing all togther a solid product. Remeber that creative have been building music players and sound cards for years so you got to be able to expect alot from them.

I like mine. Great sound quality and 5GB is more than enough room (unless you want to store your entire music collection). The radio doesn't come in as well as I'd like, but well enough to use at the gym.

I was looking at these and was about ready to get one. Then I read some reviews on line about problems with the headphone jack. Anyone experienced this? Also, when I was playing around with one at the store I had problems selecting and clicking with the center scroll device. I really want to like this because of the extra features. I understand it has a calender that will sync with Outlook. I guess the pointing difficulty I had might be overcome with practice.

The sensitivity of the scrolling can be changed, but you get used to it after a little playing around with it. Haven't heard anything about the headphone jack, mine works just fine.

I am looking at getting one of these and I was wondering if it just lets you drag and drop files without any specific software. Thanks in advance for any replies

I have the 20 gig Zen NX. It has made my music listening that much better (I'm a very "moody" music listener). I purchased the Notmad Explorer from Red Chair Software to increase my transfer rates & such, and I'm in music heaven.

The Zen NX came with software that allows for drag & drop file transfer...I don't think it can be seen as a storage device without it (though could be wrong...haven't done much in the way if file transfer other than ripping & transferring MP3's).

The iRiver is compelling. Big screen and absolutely kickass GUI. I'm not a fan of the shape, the Zen does it for me. I've got to go spend some time with them again @ BBY. The Zen was easy to use, the iRiver easier.

I tried out a Zen Micro on Monday, I have to agee, they are very easy to use, and damn cool to boot. I have a creative Zen Jukebox 20GB myself, and while the micro is lacking in storage, they take up almost no space at all.
