Anyone know where I can buy it really cheap.

I'm not sure ewhich version, but I need:

word, excel, powerpoint, access, and frontpage.

Anywhere it can be downloaded ?

Since this is a licensed product by Microsoft, no, it can not be downloaded (legally).

The cheapest place to get it is if you are a student or have a friend that is, you can get an academic version for pretty cheep.

No, not interested in Warez, when I said downloaded, I meant like pay less and download without receiving the physical CD-rom. I am a student, so I guess I will contact my Univ to see what they have.

You can buy the Students and Teachers version of MS Office for $150. It is the exact same as the MS Office Standard Edition, where only the license is different.

So you go from around $450 to $150. Good deal

Does the student and teacher version have Access now. When I bought the XP version it didn't but they might have changed that now.

The student edition would be a fine choice if danny_boy didn't need access and frontpage.

I can't keep track of all the 'special' editions (and really, who can?), but from what I understand, you'll need to buy the 'professional' edition to get Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. IIRC, they used to package Frontpage with Office, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore or maybe I'm just a confused old man.

Just cruising around I found a OEM version of MS Office XP Professional edition for $186 at Westgatemedia.com (they also had Frontpage for sale at $99).

have you tried ebay? Top of the search list is an academic version of 2003 pro for 160

As others have said, Open Office may be the way to go unless school assignments require MS Office (in which case, they should provide it, but that is my opinion :) ). I use Open Office on my home machines and other than MS Access (and I don't really use that either), I have had no reason to need MS Office.
