new crt monitor suggestions
 

so last night my viewsonic e90fb monitor died, big loud pop and the screen flickered and went out ive tried percussive maintanence... checked all the cabeling etc... nothin seems to be helpful....

so im looking for a new monitor... i want a crt

i dont want it any smaller then 19 inches

i normally run at 1280x960 with 75 hz i cant stand anything lower then that refresh rate...

ive been lookin at some of the samsungs... and heard good things about them...

just wondering if anyone else has any other good recomendations

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 550s probably 7 or 8 years old by now....I bought it used for 50 bucks. It still performs like it's brand new, so I can't really complain. When i buy a new one, it WILL be a Samsung.

NEC all the way. The FE series is excellent, goes from 15" to 22" and will last for freakin' ever.

Really sharp display, great color rendering, and an all around great monitor.
