Anyone Familiar with Computer Associates Brightstor Arcserve v.9 for Netware?
I am in need of some serious help.
For some unknown reason I can no longer view all of the directories from a backup session in Arcserve v.9 for netware when I attempt to perform a restore operation. I know the files and directories are on the tape because when I check the Job status log it doesn't report any errors and the total number of files backedup is the same as the total number of files in the directories. But for some reason I cannot access all of the directories on the backup tape media (apparently it is some sort of database issue). I really need to have access to these files. I have tried everything I can think of from creating new backup jobs to trying to restore a file directly from the server using filters (which takes entirely too long to work or be practical, because it takes many hours to search for a file through the server, and I don't even know for sure if it will even find the file i want). None of my attempts have been fruitfull. Any advice would be much appreciated. If you require any additional info. please ask, I will be more than happy to give any I can. Thanks in advance. Feign
