How can I get an .iso to autorun?
I have an iso file that my computer won't open without a reader like isobuster, winiso, etc. but that opens up all of the files insides and I then have to select the setup.exe file. Is there a way for me to set my computer to open the iso with autorun? I had thought that this was the real purpose of having an iso file.
TIA. |

There's a special way of burning this type of file:
Using Nero Get free trial here: http://www.nero.com/us/index.html Install program. After you installed Nero, Go to Start-->All Programs-->Nero-->Nero Burning Rom. Once opened cancel the wizard. Now goto Recorder-->Burn Image. Next browse to where the iso file is located on your computer, select open, then burn it. After it's burned you should have a autorun cd. |

I wouldn't recommend Daemon. It fucked up my computer. Works the first time, then the OS hangs and never rebooted again.
Thanks god I made a back up of it.

Yes, Alcohol 120% is a great. You can create virtual drives in which you mount the .iso files to be played just like a cd. An iso file is just an image of a cd, ripped then put into a single file or a couple files depending on the type of image you want to make. You can then burn the iso to disk using alcohol or daemon and it will make that disk look exactly like the disk you ripped. No extracting or anything like that.
Once you burn it or make a virtual drive and mount the image, it should make it exactly like a cd where when you click on it, it autoruns. (That's assuming you didn't disable autorun)

I too do not like Daemon Tools. I use A120% when I need something done like what you're asking.
And since my opinion counts more than anyone elses, you should listen to me. =P

I remember using Daemon Toolz back in the day and it worked great. Now even Nero has a virtual cd mounting software. If you have the most current version, just go into your control panel and there should be a Nero icon there for you to have fun with.
