Overclocking.
I'm new to overclocking. Everytime I overclock my video card, and/or my CPU, when I restart my computer, it changes back to default. Is that normal? If not, how do you make it stay?
I've managed to get my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ to 2.3Ghz, and my ATI Radeon 9600XT to, Core: 575, Memory: 515 ( Default - 500/300 ) |

What motherboard? Thats going to be the deciding factor since it is what does everything overclocking related (except for the video card).
Also, there are lots of dedicated overclocking forums out there that you may want to check.

going back to default? well if you oc'ed the proc from the BIOS, then it shouldn't go back to the defaul (unless the system hangs on boot)
as for the vid card, check if there's a setting that makes it go back to default clock speed whenever you reboot. I remember i used a program a while back that did that. |
